Customer details	Employee details

Stock items
Store details such as trade price, retails price, tax portion, description of the stock item, model number, part number, supplier it was purchased from, quantity in stock etc. Unlimited number of Stock Items can be added. Click here for details of how they are added.	Stock Control is available if you wish to keep control of quantities of your stock items. You are able to specify a minimum quantity for a stock item. Supplier details	Assemblies
Store details such as supplier name, address, and phone details Connect any number of stock items (materials) to each supplier A list can be printed that shows the stock items that need to be purchased from each supplier for a job.	Create assemblies to help simplify the quotation process. An assembly is a single item that you create which consists of an unlimited number of stock and labour items. When you add an assembly to your quote, the current prices of each stock item that are connected to the assembly are used to give you an accurate amount in your quote.
Job Cards	Do & Charge
The Job Card can be used when you want to itemise and delegate work for an existing job. Once you have won the job, use the Job Card to logically breakdown the work that you want done. If you have employees, you may want to create a Job Card for each employee.	"Do & Charge" refers to doing work without actually quoting for the work beforehand. The Do & Charge facility allows you to write up what is needed to be done on a job. This can be printed out for yourself, or can be given to an employee.
Creating a Quote	Doing the Job
Firstly, get all the details for the quote (as you normally do) Create a new quote in IDG-Trade and press the "Quote Breakdown" button. This is where you will add all materials (stock items) and labour for the quote. There are several search facilities available to help you easily select your stock items Stock items and Assemblies can be freely intermingled when creating your quote. This gives you the greatest flexibility when working out your quote prices The total for the quote is automatically calculated for you. You are given the total trade and the total retail prices for the quote. The trade price is shown to you so that you can see the bottom line for your quote You have total freedom to either select the generated quote price to send to your customer, or use the generated price purely as a guide and submit your own price Type up the quote in the "Quote Text" screen and print out the professionally formatted document	Enter materials, wages, invoices, and receipts for the job as the job progresses Enter as many invoices as you wish per job. The total invoiced amounts and total receipt amounts are calculated shown on the Jobs screen The progressive Balance Due amount is shown on the Jobs screen Job Status - view jobs that are in-progress, completed, and not started Compare the materials and labour in your quote against the materials and labour that you actually used. It shows where you quoted correctly, and where you went wrong
Accounting features
IDG-Trade allows you to produce all reports that your accountant needs to prepare your accounts - including a Profit & Loss Report, Trial Balance Enter your expenses, capital expenditure, purchases, direct labour, sundry income. This in addition to the wages and receipts that are entered throughout the life of the job Ability to have unlimited accounts. Create asset and liability accounts, as well as various types of bank accounts - cheque, savings, credit cards	Ability to create sets of company and personal accounts. All transactions can be displayed for a particular account so that you can perform bank reconciliations Budget facility - compare cost and profit progress for any designated period of the year Creditors Account GST / VAT / Tax etc. can be entered and reported in summary or in detail

If you buy your materials from a supplier who issues stock price update disks, IDG-TRADE allows you to import these details which will automatically update the trade and retail prices of your stock items.
